I wanted to know more so I decided to turn myself into the ultimate SMART Recovery psychedelic lab rat!
Dr. Nora Volkow, the director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), recently published an article in Health Affairs Magazine that many in the recovery community consider "a game changer" in how it challenged received wisdom and old assumptions in the treatment of addicted individuals. In this Insiders+ First Look on-camera interview, Dr. Tom Horvath, co-founder of SMART Recovery, assesses the article's impact and how it may change the face of the recovery landscape forever.
The multi-billion-dollar video console, multi-player online, and esports industries are built on ever-bigger thrills, more kills, treasures, conquests, higher scores, and ever-longer play times. In this premiere episode of our new Insiders+ ACCESS video series, host Luke Frazier talks to "Alex" about how video games become an all-consuming addiction beginning at age 2, and how SMART helped eventually restore balance in his life.
Sex addiction can be a serious problem that some people would rather not talk about. But not Dr. Ashley Grinonneau. She is the founder and co-owner of Ohio Center for Relationship and Sexual Health in Cleveland, Ohio. With a doctorate in marriage and family therapy and a certified sex therapist, in this podcast she talks about how the sexual intimacy conversation changes with each generation, how to achieve a healthy sexual life, and much more.
